Poor Mouth Theatre Company invites all playwrights—experienced, novice, professional, young, juvenile, mature—to submit short plays to be part of Poor Mouth's on-going annual series of short plays - PUTTIN' ON YOUR SHORTS.
We are interested in any and all subject matter (sketch comedy, farce, drama, tragedy or love story) of up to ten minutes in length. All plays must be original and should not have been performed before in this area. They should also be easy to mount on a small stage, requiring minimal set, props, costumes, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Playwrights and/or their representatives may be required to "talent" their own shows. This includes casting, directing, rehearsing, providing props, etc. Poor Mouth Theatre will provide the performance space, publicity, basic set pieces (chairs, tables, boxes, etc), lighting, sound equipment, production staff, and of course the audience.
