In January 2023, Shannon Haly received the Breakthrough Award for producing and starring in Poor Mouth Theatre Company's production of Harry Butler's honest and intimate new play CHANGING THE SHEETS. Directed by Hagen Marsh-Brown, and featuring both Shannon Haly and Harrison Tipping, this bold new play exposes the gap between romantic ideal and reality.

Poor Mouth Theatre Company received the Fringe Award for their production of Don Creedon's play GUY WALKS INTO A BAR, at the New York Irish Center in Long Island City, NY. Directed by Tim Ruddy and featuring Roger Clark, Michael Mellamphy, and Clay Westman, the play was presented as part of the Origin 1st Irish 2018 Theatre festival's Throwback Thursdays.

Poor Mouth Theatre Company received an Irish Central Creativity and Arts Award Nomination in 2017 for its production of PUTTIN' ON HER SHORTS, a festival of original short plays all written by women, including new plays by Honor Molloy, Olivia Reevel, Brona Crehan, and Amy E. Witting.

Origin 1st Irish 2010 Theatre Festival - Audience Award
Poor Mouth Theatre Company's production of GUY WALKS INTO A BAR by Don Creedon was voted Best Play by the 1st Irish 2010 Festival audience for its "site specific" production in Ryan's Daughter Bar on New York's Upper East Side. Directed by Don Creedon, the award winning cast featured Bill Rutkoski, Walter Deforest, and Mike Pirozzi.
