Awards season is here and Poor Mouth is celebrating a bumper season!

Poor Mouth Theatre Company, along with the New York Irish Center and the Company of Guy Walks Into a Bar received the 1st Irish Theatre Festival 2018 FRINGE AWARD "for their combined efforts to create community and new theatre for the public". In addition, Michael Mellamphy received the BEST ACTOR award for his performance. Guy Walks Into a Bar was written by Don Creedon, directed by Tim Ruddy, and featured Michael Mellamphy, Clay Westman and Roger Clark, with set and costumes by Suzanne Hockstein. Congratulations to all involved!

Poor Mouth Theatre Company is also proud to announce that we have received an 2017 Creativity & Arts Award Nomination for our production of Puttin' on Her Shorts in March 2017 - a festival of six original short plays by New York-based playwrights Brona Crehan, Honor Molloy, Maeve Price, Olivia Reevell, Allison Sylvia and Amy E. Witting. Thanks to all who participated in this event.
